SUAB HMONG NEWS (04/21/2017) – Hmong Veterans, Hmong pageants, Hmong dancers, and Hmong students showcase to opening the 2017 HND conference on April 21, 2017 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Bao Vang, President/CEO of HND, called it the best ever opening ceremony for HND conference in the United States.

“Would you say that this morning opening was the best HND opening you ever see?  So Milwaukee you rock… “ said Bao Vang.

Thai Vue, one of the founder of HND, said he is very happy to see HND accomplish the goal and vision they set for HND from the beginning.

“I always follow how HND is doing and I am very happy to see it is doing what we expected it to do from the beginning.” Said Thai Vue.

Bao Vang said more than thousand people registered to attend the three days 2017 HND Conference.

Majority of the attendees were students and young Hmong from around the United States.

HND conference will continue until Sunday, April 23, 2017 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Suab Hmong News covered three sessions from the first day workshop; The Bride Price: A Hmong Wedding Story Memoir, Fighting for Survivors: A Hmong WI Social Justice Collective movement addressing gender-based violence, and Hmong Law Enforcement Officer – Building community partnership and trust through dialogue.  These three session workshop will be broadcasted on the Suab Hmong News Channel on Youtube on the week of April 24, 2017.
