2018 Wausau Hmong New Year celebration held from November 4 to 5, 2017

SUAB HMONG NEWS (11/07/2017) – The Hmong community in the city of Wausau celebrated their Hmong New Year on November 4 and 5, 2017.

Cha Blong Moua, Chair for the Wausau Hmong New Year, said Wausau Hmong New Year is now a 501c3 organization and each of the clan will take turn to manage the Hmong New Year celebration.

“This is the first time from 30 years that each clan takes turn to manage the Hmong New Year celebration. This to show them that they are a part of the event” said Cha Blong Moua.

Many distinguish guests participated the 2017 Wausau Hmong New Year included Senator Jerry Petrowski and Mayor Rober B. Meilke.
