CHICAGO, IL (SHB) – Chao Ophat Nachampassak, a former Royal Lao Prince, passed away while visiting his family near Chicago, IL on February 16, 2015.

Chao Ophat Nachampassak is a member of the former Royal Lao King Family that ruled Laos before the Lao Peoples’ Democratic Republic took over Laos in 1975.  He traveled with General Vang Pao and his family to promote democracy for the Lao people around the world.
