SUAB HMONG NEWS — City of Minneapolis Community Engagement Team met with Minnesota Hmong Organizations.

Bouahue Vang, President of SGU, said the meeting of the City of Minneapolis Community Engagement Team with the Minnesota Hmong Organizations was to find a way to work together as a community and to reach out to the Hmong Community to get more people to vote on Election Day.

“I told the City of Minneapolis Community Engagement Team that in order to work together, they have to work with the Hmong leaders in the Hmong Organizations and the Hmong leaders of the organizations will work with the Hmong community…” said Bouahue Vang.

Chertong Pha, Vice President of Lao Family Community Inc., said more Hmong need to go out to vote on election day to represent who we are.

The Hmong Organizations that met with the City of Minneapolis Engagement Team were Hmong American Mutual Assistant Association, SGU (Hmong Veterans), and Lao Family Community of Minnesota.
