SUAB HMONG NEWS (11/13/2019) –  Costco responded to an Image of a coupon posted on Facebook said “Costco has announced that everyone who shares this link will be sent a $75” is a “SCAM”.

Costco posted on its Facebook “Despite several posts out there, Costco is NOT giving away $75 coupons. While we love our fans and our members, this offer is a SCAM, and in no way affiliated with Costco. Thanks to our fans for letting us know about this recurring hoax!”

When you clicked on the image, it will ask for you to register to get the $75 dollar.  This could be a virus from hacker to try to get into your Facebook account.  If you have virus protection on your PC, the virus protection program will detect the virus and stop it.  If you clicked on the link, you will need to change your password on your Facebook account and logoff and login.  This should prevent hacker to enter your Facebook account.

Be careful, if something is too good to be true online then it is not true and it is possible a “SCAM”.
