(SHB) — The new deadline for submitting application for presidential candidate for the upcoming election of Lao Family Community of Minnesota has been extended to October 23, 2014 and the actual election will be held on October 25, 2014.

“The application for the presidential candidate for the upcoming election must be delivered to Lao Family Community office by 4:30 PM on October 23, 2014” said Wa Xai Yang (Vam Ntxaij Yaj).

Wa Xai Yang continue said that any Hmong live in the State of Minnesota can vote for the upcoming election. He/she must be 18 and over.

The qualifications for the presidential candidate for Lao Family Community of Minnesota must be a full term Board of Director of Lao Family Community of Minnesota, must be a member of Lao Family Community of Minnesota, and he/she must be a former president of a full profit organization and managed a minimum of 500 thousand dollar annually.
