First debate for president candidates running for HMONG18COWI held in Appleton, WI

SUAB HMONG NEWS (08/20/218) – First debate for the three candidates who are running to get elect to become the president of Hmong 18 Council of Wisconsin, Inc. (HMONG18COWI) into the next four years held in Appleton, Wisconsin on August 19, 2018.

The three candidates are Nao Vai Yang (from Milwaukee, WI), Zongsae Vang (from Milwaukee, WI), and Nao Nhia Thao (from Madison, WI).

The debate last more than an hour and questions allowed for the audience before the debate session ended.   Suab Hmong News will broadcast the audience questions on a separate episode follow by the actual debate.

The three candidates indicated they are proactive on serving the Hmong community and have similar perspectives on leading the HMONG18COWI organization forward.

“Personally, I said the HMONG18COWI is very important for the Hmong community.   Also this organization is the biggest organization that will lead Hmong forward to the future.  There is no other Hmong organization that is important as this one” said Nao Vai Vang.

“The HMONG18COWI is important for the Hmong community if we know how to run it to serve the Hmong community” said Nao Nhia Thao.

“The HMONG18COWI is very important for the Hmong community.  It may not be for the individual but it serve as an umbrella for the Hmong community especially in Wisconsin” said Zongsae Vang.
