Protests against ChuPheng Lee and His Corrupt Board Members and Trustees of LFCM and LFF
On March 14, 2014, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, under the leadership of the Hmong Heritage Preservation Committee of Minnesota, the Hmong community will protest against the corrupt board members and trustees of Lao Family Community of Minnesota, Inc. (LFCM) and Lao Family Foundation (LFF)

Reasons for the Protests
Under the leadership of ChuPheng Lee
– Loss of all social service programs of LFCM
– Stealing the Hmong community’s ownership of the Hmong New Year celebrations and the Hmong 4th of July Festivals to be privately owned for life by ChuePheng Lee and his selected trustees of LFF
– Financial corruption
– Violation of the rights of the Hmong people, who voted to elected ChuePheng Lee the board president of LFCM
– Violation of the principles of nonprofit organizations
– ChuPheng Lee and his Organizational cronies MUST GO!
Lao Family Community of Minnesota, Inc. Founded in 1977
– to provide social services for the needy people in the Twin Cities
– to co-host the Hmong two cultural events: the Hmong New Year celebrations and the Hmong 4th of July Festivals
– In 2008, LFCM had $3.6 million funding several social service programs employed by 39 staff members
– Since 2008, under the leadership of Ka Houa Yang and then ChuPheng Lee, the LFCM’s funding and programs were cut off
– LFCM is now dead in providing social service programs
– ChuPheng Lee and his organizational cronies MUST GO!
Financial Corruption
ChuPheng Lee and his board members, instead of directing the social service programs, have focused on the Hmong two cultural events that have generated thousands of profits each celebration
These Hmong community’s monies were mismanaged
In 2010, $89,961.89 were missing under the leadership of Ka Houa Yang and ChuPheng Lee
ChuPheng Lee and his organizational cronies MUST GO!
The Office of the Attorney General
In 2012, because of financial corruption committed by ChuPheng Lee and board members, the Office of Attorney General of Minnesota terminated the LFCM’s right to co-host the Hmong two cultural events
So do ChuPheng Lee and his organizational cronies MUST GO!
Lao Family Foundation
In 2012, without consulting and approval of the Hmong who voted to elect ChuPheng Lee the board president of LFCM, he and his selected board members founded the Lao Family Foundation to own the Hmong two cultural events, controlled for life by ChuPheng Lee and his cronies—a violation of the Hmong culture, norms, and values
ChuPheng Lee and is organizational cronies MUST GO!
Founding the LFF without notification of the Hmong community who voted to elect ChuPheng Lee the board president of LFCM, ChuPheng violated the fundamental principle of the consent of the voters
ChuPheng Lee and his organizational cronies MUST GO!
ChuPheng Lee Violated Nonprofit Laws
ChuPheng Lee simultaneously serves the board presidents of both the LFCM and LFF and self-appointed trustee of LFF
Holding 3 leadership positions of the two nonprofit organizations at the same time, ChuPheng Lee grossly violated the nonprofit principles of conflict of interests
ChuPheng Lee and his cronies MUST GO!
