Hmong International New Year Will no longer hold at Fresno Fairground in 2017-18 and forward

SUAB HMONG NEWS (05/02/2017) – According to Aaron Vang, Hmong New Life Radio program in Sacramento, CA), Hmong biggest event “Hmong International New Year (HINY)” held every year at the Fresno Fairgrounds in Fresno, CA will move to a new location in 2017-18 and forward.

The contract to hold the HINY event between HINY and the Fresno Fairgrounds (FF) ended early in 2017 and FF put it up for a bid.   Hmong Culture New Year, Inc., bid to the maximum which was $250,000.00 and won the bid over HINY to hold and debut its first New Year there in 2017-18.

HINY will continue to hold its New Year event at the same time from December 26th to January 1st at a new location.  The new location will be announced soon.
