Hmong Veteran’s Service Recognition Act allows Hmong Veteran and spouse to bury at National Cemetery.

SUAB HMONG NEWS (06/11/2018) – A public meeting held by the Hmong SGU in Minnesota on June 8, 2018 indicates that Hmong Veteran and spouse are qualified to bury at National Cemetery under the new bill “Hmong Veteran’s Service Recognition Act” signed by President Donald Trump on March 23, 2018.

Tong Vang, President of Hmong SGU in Minnesota, said that the process regulations for Hmong Veteran and spouse to be buried at National Cemetery have not been finalize by the involved departments.  “The process to screen and confirm Hmong Veterans to qualify to bury at the National Cemetery will involve Hmong, VA, and National Cemetery” said Tong Vang.

Tong Vang continues said that one of the process to verify Hmong Veteran is to find the names listing back in Laos who received salary.
