Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 Annual Banquet

Milwaukee, WI — Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce (HWCC) held its annual banquet on May 8, 2013 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  More than 300 business and none business people attended the banquet.

Charles Vang, Director of Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce, said that the organization started more than 10 years ago since 2001 but it reached its function capacity from 2007.  

“10 Businesses in the state of Wisconsin came and borrowed money from us” said Charles Vang.

Fai Dang Thao from Appleton, Wisconsin received a Leadership Award from HWCC for the leadership he had with the Hmong community.  “It is a good thing that others see the benefit that some of us doing for the community.  This will bring more courage for those of us to continue our leadership to help the Hmong community in the future” said Fai Dang Thao.

Nao Phan Xiong from Appleton, Wisconsin received a Business Award from HWCC for his business.  “We need to work hard for our business to be recognize by this organization” said Nao Phan Xiong.

Susan Au Allen, CEO and President of USPAACC, attended the HWCC annual banquet and said that she wanted to help the Hmong business to blend with the mainstream business.
