Kevin Her one of the judge for the dance competitions talked about how to be a judge

Kevin Her from Milwaukee, Wisconsin was one of the judge for the dance competitions at the Lao-Hmong National Festival WI 2008.  He said "It's very hard to be a judge because every team is good and they practice enought..." He also said that there were one to ten levels of scoring for each team per dance.  If you give a score less than five, you have to write down the reasons.

While interviewed dancer groups, there were many questions raised from some of the team.  They said inorder to qualify for a judge especially for the dance competition, he or she must have entertainment experiences such as a singer or formal singer, a dancer or former dancer and so forth.  They see many of the judges are not part of any entertainment and doubt that the scores and decision they make will not proper for the dancers.  The hard work are the dancers and the judges should have enought experiences to proper their decision for the competition.
