Father’s day 2009 was a joyful day with a lot of fun at Silver Creek Park in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
Zouatrue Hang, one of the event organizer, said “The event is to try to get Hmong former soccer players to come together and play soccer. Running is a good heath for everyone. Also for everyone to meet and socialize”.
There were four Hmong former soccer player teams participated and competed in the event. Hmong Milwaukee former soccer team was part of the competition and won third place.
Richard Wanglue played with Hmong Milwaukee former soccer player team and said “it brings many memories from the past. I used to play a lot of soccer during my time in the Hmong community and now it is good to see and meet those that we used to play together”.
Hmong Manitowoc will hold its summer festival 2009 on August 15 and 16, 2009. Zouatrue Hang said “I would like to welcome everyone to come and join us to celebrate our Hmong Manitowoc’s summer festival on August 15 and 16”.
