The Lead Actress was playing by Megan Chiwu Lee, 2010-11 Miss Hmong Minnesota. She said that the hardest part for her to act in the movie was how to make her cried for the cry scenes. And she managed it through by thinking of her grand mother who passed away recently. “You must be in the sad mode in order to cry…” said Megan Chiwu Lee, Lead Actress.
Sue Vang, Director and Producer of the Ib Zaj Dab Neeg, said that most Hmong movies shot on locations in Thailand and Laos and this one shot on locations in the United States so he hopes to show the audience the differences.
