Sacramento Hmong Community raised more than $50,000.00 to support Blong Xiong

Sacramento, CA -- May 26, 2012. More than $50,000.00 raised from the Sacramento Hmong Community to support Blong Xiong for his campaign running for Congress to represent the 21st District in Fresno, California.

“This how Hmong love one another… I would like to say to every one that if we work together and put our heart together, we can do almost anything…” Said Blong Xiong.

Blong Xiong seeks to become the first Hmong American to serve in Congress. A Democrat, he's running to represent California's 21st District, located near Fresno.

Xiong currently serves on Fresno's City Council. He's competing with John Hernandez, chief executive of the Central California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, for the 21st District's Democratic nomination.
