Hmong 18 Clan Council of Wisconsin's 2nd Annual Event "Hmong Elements"

Milwaukee, WI --- Hmong 18 Council of Wisconsin held its 2nd Annual event “Hmong Elements” to educate the Hmong community about Hmong Culture and custom on August 18, 2012 at John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

“The purpose of this event is about Hmong culture and custom… most importantly, I would like the Hmong 18 Clan Council to come up with this type of event to show our younger generation about Hmong culture and custom… next, the purpose today is to have Hmong leaders to come together to put Hmong culture such as marriage and cultural believed into a book…” said Yer Yang, Vice President of Hmong 18 Clan Council of Wisconsin.

Chong “Txoov” Vang, one of the General Vang Pao’s sons, was the keynote speaker at the event.  “Hmong 18 Clan Council organization created to bring the Hmong community together, not to split the Hmong community… I am calling to all Hmong leaders, please work together in a positive way to bring the Hmong community together and moving forward…” said Chong “Txoov” Vang.

Hmong Artists from St. Paul, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Shegoygan, Wisconsin displayed their artists for the public to see.
