SUAB HMONG NEWS (10/01/2015) — Butte County Hmong Association and Lao Veterans of Butte County Chapter in California held an open ceremony to unveil the new replacement statue of General Vang Pao at Chico, California on September 12, 2015.

“The original statue of General Vang Pao completed on December 8, 2012. After three years, on October 3rd, 2014, someone vandalized the original one… the new statue of General Vang Pao is 5’6” high and made of bronze. The new statue costs $50,000.00 not included other costs” said Ray Thao, one of the original creation of the statue of General Vang Pao in Chico, CA.
