Xia Xa Vang, Chair of the Election committee, said that the reason for the election is to elect a president and a treasurer to take over the Hmong Service Center because Bee Lee, the current active president of the Hmong Service Center, did not hold an election when his term ended on November 2, 2013.

Bee Lee, current active president of Hmong Service Center, said that the reason for him not to hold an election on last November 2013 is because the new by-law took effect and approved and passed by the current active board of directors to let him continue his leadership to lead the organization.

Nao Vang Lor, one of the founder of the HSC said that he wanted Oshkosh Hmong Community to come together and work together as one community.  “We live here in Oshkosh more than 30 years and look at other communities… only Hmong always having conflict…” said Nao Vang Lor.

Ka Lor Thao, the active Vice President of HSC, said “those that do not know how the process work never ask question and those that knew the process do not listen well… that’s why issue like this occurred…”
