SUAB HMONG NEWS (04/30/2017) – Pa Ma Thao, President of Lao (Hmong) Veterans of Minnesota, will lead a Hmong/Lao Veteran delegation from Minnesota and Wisconsin to Washington D.C. on May 13, 2017 to honor the Hmong/Lao Memorial plate and tree at Arlington Cemetery and meet with representatives at the Capitol to call for support to get benefits for Hmong/Lao Veterans.
“There will be Hmong/Lao Veterans coming from other states accept Alaska to join the delegation at Washington D.C.” said Pa Ma Thao
This will be the third year that Thao lead Veteran delegation to Washington D.C.

“The Hmong/Lao Memorial plate and the tree are representing Hmong/Lao veterans and their legacy serving alongside with the United States during the Secret War in Laos…” said Thao.
Thao said the delegation will be leaving St. Paul, Minnesota in a bus on the afternoon of May 13, 2017. The bus will stop in Eau Claire and Madison, Wisconsin to pick up veterans. The bus will be arriving in Washington D.C. on May 14, 2017. The delegation will honor with a ceremony to the Hmong/Lao Memorial plate and tree at Arlington Cemetery on May 15, 2017 and the delegation will be meeting with many representatives at the Capitol on May 16, 2017.
