SUAB HMONG NEWS (05/17/2017) — Pa Ma Thao, President of Lao Veterans of American of Minnesota, brought a delegation to Washington D.C. by bus to honor and remember Hmong and Lao soldiers who died during the United States Secret War in Laos at the Hmong and Lao Veterans Monument and Tree dedicated site inside the National Arlington Cemetery on May 15, 2017.
May 15, 2017 marks the 20th years of the Hmong and Lao Memorial monument and a tree planted at the National Arlington Cemetery.
“May 15th is the Hmong and Lao Veterans Day to remember Hmong and Lao soldiers who died during the Secret War in Laos and it’s the day after General Vang Pao left Laos to refugee camp in Thailand” said Pa Ma Thao, President of Lao Veterans of America in Minnesota.
A Hmong dancer group called “Nkauj Hmoob Ci Ntsa” from Minnesota performed dances at the Vietnam Memorial site to honor and remember those who served and died for the citizen of United States. Nkauj Hmoob Ci Ntsa is a part of Pa Ma Thao’s delegation from Minnesota.
