 SUAB HMONG NEWS (02/09/2017) – The Hmong 18 Clan Council of Minnesota with leaders from the communities will be convened outside of Coon Rapids City Hall on 02/10/2017 at 1:00 PM to call for investigation for the 82-year-old elderly woman bit by Coon Rapids Police’s dog early on 02/05/2017.

The Hmong 18 Clan Council and leaders from the community will convene outside of Coon Rapids City Hall on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. to call upon the City’s Police Department and Mayor’s Office to investigate the actions the police officers took and institutionalize cultural competency within its department in response to the incident where Choua Xiong, 82, was attacked by police dogs in her own backyard. Wa Houa Vue, President of the Hmong 18CC of Minnesota, confirmed that Joua Xiong’s age now is 82 and she will be 83 on June 2017.   Suab Hmong News indicated Joua Xiong’s age was 83; Joua Xiong actually told her age during the Suab Hmong News interviewed.
