SUAB HMONG NEWS (09/18/2017) – The Hmong first Top-Spin “TUJ LUB” field in the United Sates located in Westminster, Colorado. The Hmong community proposed it to the City of Westminster in 2006 and the City of Westminster built and completed it in the middle of 2008.

Som Xai Vue said he was the president of the Hmong Colorado organization back in 2006 and 2007 and he had good relationship with the Mayor of the City of Westminster during that time and the Hmong Top-Spin group proposed for a Top-Spin field to be built so they sent a proposal to him to submit to the city of Westminster.
“We invited the Westminster City officials to watch how the Top-Spin Sport was playing and discussed with the Westminster City officials that the Top Spin field is for anyone who is willing to play” said Som Xai Vue.
The City of Westminster built The Top-Spin field and completed it in the middle of 2008 and it became the Hmong first Top-Spin field built for the Hmong community in the United States. There are more Top-Spin fields in St. Paul, MN.
Cher Bee Lor who led the Top-Spin field project said that he proposed to build a Top-Spin field because there are fields for other sports such as football, baseball, soccer, and etc… “We live in this country, we pay tax just like everyone else so I proposed to the city of Westminster to build a Top-Spin field in 2006 and the city of Westminster completed it by 2008” said Cher Bee Lor.
An open ceremony for the Hmong first Top-Spin field held on September 9, 2017 and a Top-Spin tournament held from September 9 to 10, 2017. There were total of eight Hmong Top-Spin teams included a team from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Arkansas competed in the tournament.
