SUAB HMONG NEWS (07/21/2018) – Heavy rainfall from “Tropical Storm Son-tinh” from July 19 to 20, 2018 flooding many areas in Laos and Vietnam. Many main roads are damaged due to the heavy rain.

The heavy rain flooding many areas in Vientiane, Xieng Khouang, Sam Neua, Oudom Xai, Luang Prabang, Champasak, and other more province in Laos. Traveling is delaying in the flooding areas.
Based on videos posted on the Social Media, the flooding damaged and destroyed many houses included killing many animals and destroying farms in the rural areas in Laos and Vietnam.
Flooding rainfall widespread threat as rainfall of 75-150 mm (3-6 inches) spread from Hainan into northern Vietnam and Laos. This included the Vietnam capital of Hanoi and the Laos capital of Vientiane. Hardest-hit areas can expect rainfall amounts up to 250 mm (10 inches).
