SUAB HMONG NEWS (12/18/2015) — Hmong International New Year and Hmong 18 Council New Year celebration will be held in Fresno, California starting December 26, 2015 to January 1, 2016.

CherZong Lee said ChiNeng Vang, one of General Vang Pao’s son, will be cutting the ribbon to open the 2015-16 Hmong International New Year and on December 26, 2015 at the Fresno Fairgounds.
“This year the competition programs included Miss Hmong, Dancing, and Singing will be competed four days instead of three days” said CherZong Lee.
Cheng Lee, President of Hmong 18 Council (Fresno), said the admission to get into the United Hmong New Year is free for everyone except parking.
“The United Hmong New Year is free admission for everyone but everyone will have to pay for the parking. In the past the parking was free and there were many damages to the pipelines underground at the parking area and they charged us about $8000.00 to fix them so the fee for the parking will go toward fixing any damaged” said Cheng Lee.
Admission to get into the 2015-16 Hmong International New Year:
$4.00 per person
Free admission for person age 65 and up and all military service men and women.
Admission to get into the 2015-16 United Hmong New Year (Hmong 18 Council New Year):
Free admission for everyone.
