SUAB HMONG NEWS (07/09/2018) – Senator (MN) Foung Hawj accompanied U.S. Senator Tina Smith to tour the 2018 Hmong International Freedom festival on July 1st, 2018. After their speech on stage at the V.I.P. tenth, they walked passed the soccer fields and stopped at the Hmong Radio Station booth then played some “Tuj Lub” at the “Tuj Lub” tournament area.

U.S. Senator Tina Smith and MN Senator Foung Hawj urged everyone to go out and vote on the primary election on August 14, 2018 and on the general election on November 2018.
“I would just wanted to remind everybody that especially this time in our country is so important to vote and we have primary on August 14th and then a general election in November and I urge everybody to use their voices and come out and vote on the elections” said Tina Smith, U.S. Senator from Minnesota.
Senator (MN) Foung Hawj thanks U.S. Senator Tina Smith for visiting the 38th Hmong International Freedom Festival. “Thank you U.S. Senator Tina Smith even though she is very busy in Washington D.C. but she makes time to come down to where she started from with the Hmong community and this is not the first time that she visits the Hmong Freedom Fest” said Senator Foung Hawj.
