Milwaukee, WI — United Hmong American Association’s 2nd annual high school graduation recognition ceremony will be held on June 23, 2012 at Phonsavanh Restaurant in Appleton, Wisconsin.
“We have more than 20 Hmong high school graduates registered to attend the ceremony so far,” said Tracie Hang, Event Coordinator.
“This year we will give away a $1000.00 scholarship to one of the 2012 high school graduate, based on the result of his/her essay set by the United Hmong American Association…” said Zoua Yang, President of the United Hmong American Association.

The annual recognition ceremony is a free service provided to promote higher education to all Hmong high school graduates who are living in the Appleton, Wisconsin and the surrounding counties.

“We give out laptops and educational supplies to the graduate to help them pursue their higher education,” said Zoua Yang. She also commented that she would like to expand the annual recognition ceremony to state wide in Wisconsin.
