SUAB HMONG NEWS (03/26/2018) – March 23, 2018, Paul Kong held a press conference in St. Paul, MN to respond to the United Hmong Family (best known as Lao Family Foundation) terminated Richard Kong from his Interim CEO position for Hmong July 4th event.
Paul Kong, a Trustee for United Hmong Family, said he is no longer with the organization due to the termination of Richard Kong by the Trustee Boards of United Hmong Family. “The first person make motion to terminate Richard Kong was Xiong Pao Moua and support motion by Col. Ly Teng” said Paul Kong.
The reason for the termination of Richard Kong, Interim CEO for Hmong J4, indicated on the termination letter provided to Suab Hmong News from Paul Kong:
“The board of trustees met with you on March 6, 2018 to counsel and discuss professional ethics and the need for proper documentation and board approvals before convening a charitable event. Since the conversation, there continued to be more instances of inappropriate behavior. For the best interest of the organization, the board has decided to terminate your contact as the Interim CEO effective today.”

Paul Kong is calling the Hmong community leaders to look into the case to ensure is fair for Richard Kong and the Kong family.
