SUAB HMONG NEWS (03/23/2017) – According to the Everest Metro Police Press released on 03/23/2017, the suspect identification is not release to the public due to current investigation,
“We have a lot of investigations.  We have dozen of this left and we don’t want to put any information out there about that right now” said Jason Smith, State Department of Justice Deputy Administrator.
Smith said that the incident is a domestic issue involved a husband and wife.
Jason Weiland, a detective with 18 years of police experience and an attorney were among the four people killed Wednesday in a shooting spree that started when a man targeted his estranged wife at a local bank.
A person with knowledge of the investigation told The Associated Press on Thursday that Everest Metro Police Detective Jason Weiland was shot as he approached an apartment complex in Weston. The person requested anonymity because he was not authorized to comment on the investigation.
A state Department of Justice source also identified the remaining three victims as Marathon Savings Bank employees Dianne M. Look, 67, and Karen L. Barclay, 62, and attorney Sara H. Quirt Sann, 43.
