Vang Council of Milwaukee celebrates Pre-Hmong New Year on November 11, 2017

SUAB HMOGN NEWS (11/14/2017) – Vang Council of Milwaukee, combined seven groups of Vang from different part of Laos, celebrated Pre-Hmong New Year at West Bend, Wisconsin on November 11, 2017.

The event was free admission for the Hmong community including  dinner.

Richard C. Vang, Commanding General for the United State National Defense Force Support Command, and Zong Se Vang, Vang Representative to the Hmong 18 Clan Council of Wisconsin, cut the ribbons and blessed the opening ceremony for the 2017-18 Vang Council of Milwaukee Pre-Hmong New Year.

“Pre-Hmong New Year is one of the very important for the Hmong.  It signified that we love one another, it signified that we have great leadership and unity.  We come together to celebrate and to have a dinner to meet one another and to pay our respect to one another” said Richard C. Vang.

Zong Se Vang said unity is very important “When we untied we know that we could depend on one another” said Zong Se Vang.
