SUAB HMONG NEWS — Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans held its annual gathering in St. Paul, Minnesota on May 8, 2015 to inform the community of its progress working with the legislatures and to giving awards to recognize its members for their outstanding volunteer works.

Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans’ Vision and Mission (Taken from Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans’ website at http://mn.gov/capm/index.html).

The Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans (CAPM) is a state agency created by the Minnesota State Legislature to fulfill three primary objectives:

1. To advise the Minnesota Legislature and the Governor on issues of importance to Asian Pacific Minnesotans;

2. To advocate on behalf of the community on these issues; and

3. To serve as the bridge for and between Asian Pacific Minnesotans and non-Asian Pacific Minnesotans.
