A Hmong group plays Lao Ken “Qeej Nplog”


SUAB HMONG NEWS (10/08/2015) — Kou Her is leading and teaching a group of Hmong on how to play Lao Ken “Qeej Nplog” in St. Paul, Minnesota.

“Learn how to play Lao Ken is not easy. One must really dedicate his times to learn it” said Kou Her.

Chongtong Vang said Lao Ken has 16 holes to control the sounds and it is really hard to learn. He has been learning for two years and he now can play two songs.
