An earthquake App “MyShake” to give early warning to all Californians


SUAB HMONG NEWS (10/18/2019) — Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the release of a statewide earthquake early warning app on Thursday 10/17/2019 to all Californians.

The app call MyShake.  It is available for iOS and Android.   Anyone in California download the app on their phone will received early earthquake warning.  Beside the app, the Wireless Emergency Alerts system will send text message earthquake warning to people who have not download the app.

Other nations including Japan, Mexico, Taiwan and Turkey, already have operational systems.  In Japan, the early warning are a part of the life.
