Hmong Community celebrates and remembering General Vang Paos’s birthday on December 8, 2015


SUAB HMONG NEWS (12/11/2015) — The Hmong community in California, Wisconsin, and Minnesota celebrated and remembering General Vang Pao’s birthday on December 8, 2015.

In California, the Hmong community held the memorial birthday service for General Vang Pao in Chico. In Wisconsin, in Appleton. And in Minnesota, in St. Paul.

Paul Lor, First Hmong Judge in the City of Merced, CA, given a speech at the Memorial Birthday service for General Vang Pao in Chico, CA and said many other ethnic groups know Hmong because of General Vang Pao.

Wachong Vang, one of General Vang Pao’s son, urge the Hmong community to continue to celebrate and remembering General Vang Pao’s birthday to remember his legacy. The plan is to push the legislature to make an official holiday to remember General Vang Pao’s birthday in the future.
