Mee Yang said her second term as the president of Hmong Services Center is legit based on the board of directors agreed and modified the organization’s bylaw to extend her term after winning the case against the former president and his board of directors in court. “After I got elected as the president of Hmong Services Center on January 2014, the old president and his board of directors sued us in court so I and my board of directors did not work on the organization but to defend it for two years. The lawsuit ended on December 2015 and we won the case. After we won the case, the seven board of directors, we agreed to modify the organization’s bylaw to extend the term of the president and the board of directors from the time lost. That is to restart our first term in 2016 to 2017 and the second term, if I got elected again, will be from 2018 to 2019. This changed on the organization’s bylaw will stay consistent into the future if there should be an exact case.” Said Mee Yang.
Mee Yang also said that the upcoming event on Memorial Day in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is on scheduled and nothing has been changed.
