Press Release: Hmong and refugee students to receive Hlub Foundation scholarships

On Saturday, April 8, 2017, the first Annual Hlub Foundation Scholarship Dinner will be held to give out scholarships to six Hmong and refugee students in Wisconsin.

As the Hmong acculturate and assimilate into mainstream society, Hmong professionals are giving back to the community. The HLUB Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity that offers monetary scholarships to Hmong and refugee students in middle school, high school, and college to promote giving and to illicit motivation for higher education. The program will include remarks by elected officials, a keynote address by Dr. Xa Xiong, author of the Impossible Dream, award presentations, and dinner.
