PaChoua Vang, Chair of the forum, said the purpose of the forum is for Hmong younger generation to come together to talk about what and how to improve the Hmong community to the future.

“Because, we the Hmong younger generation, are busy working, we have higher education but we do not live close to one another and we do not know one another so this event is to bring the younger Hmong generation together to talk and find ways to improve the Hmong community in the future” said PaChoua Vang.

Based on a presentation presented by Bao Vang, Hmong ranked on the bottom in education in the Asian Communities in the United States.

Dai Thao, St. Paul City Council for Ward 1, started the idea to hold the forum to bring everyone together to talk about how to improve the Hmong community to the next level.
